is an upcoming first-person zombie apocalyptic-themed action rpg. The game begins 15 years after Dying Light, starring a new protagonist named Aiden Caldwell, who is equipped with various parkour skills. Players can perform actions such as climbing ledges, sliding, leaping off from edges, and wall running to quickly navigate the city. More than double the parkour moves have been added since the first game, some are exclusive to particular areas of the city.
The game is mostly melee-based with the majority of fighting using melee weapons. The melee weapons have a limited lifespan and will degrade the longer the player uses the melee weapons in combat. New zombies have been added. Like the first game, the zombies are slow when exposed to sunlight, but they become more aggressive and hostile at night. Deacon is a Great, conflicted protagonist, who feels like an ass at times, but that’s the point, he is meant to be realistic in this hostile environment. He grows into a far more charismatic character the longer you play. This game is varied enough to keep things fresh and has meaningful rewards for doing the optional check lists which keep the gameplay loop entertaining. The game takes place in the Soviet Union in an alternative reality sometime in 1955 where technology like the internet, holograms and robots have already been invented. The main protagonist is a mentally-unstable KGB special agent called P-3, who is sent by the government to investigate a manufacturing facility that has fallen silent.
The combat in the game consists of shooting and melee swinging with improvised weapons. There is a crafting system where the weapons can be pieced together from metal parts that can be detached from robots or taken from household appliances. Ammo in the game is scarce and there is a sneaking option. Quick-time events are also featured in this game.
